He's growing up, y'all

Fryebaby is getting so big and strong these days.  He looks so much more like a little boy than a baby.  He's rolling all over the place and is on the verge of becoming mobile...watch out.  His hair is getting so thick and long, and the baby blues are still beautiful.

Hanging out in his float on the boat dock in North Carolina.  We took him floating in the lake for half an hour and he loved the water.  I especially love his one piece dinosaur bathing suit!  He is beach ready!!

Sitting in a high chair at a restaurant for the first time!  Carrots and all!  And how much do you love that t-shirt?!?  Ridiculous...

Riding in the grocery cart for the first time!  Thank you JoJo for the super comfy cart cover...we love it!

I don't need no stinkin' car seat! Haha...just kidding!  I strapped him in during one of our recent road trips while I was getting his bottle ready.  Such a cutie :)

Best birthday present

It definitely feels different to celebrate my birthday this year now that I'm a mom.  It feels great.  It's awesome to think about everything that has happened in the last year and makes me excited about the start of a new year and a new decade.  Thank goodness for Mr. Stud Muffin :)

Daddy makes me laugh

Happy Memorial Day!

It's been a nice long weekend.  We went to the pool, enjoyed a couple meals out, got away for a movie thanks to our wonderful babysitter, and relaxed.  Here's a few pics from the weekend :)

He did eventually get out of the car seat...but I didn't get any photos of him in the water...just glad he made it in and out safely :)

First Mother's Day

Lil' man has made this a wonderful first Mother's Day!  We traveled down to NC to spend the weekend with my mom and stepdad at their lake house.  We had a great trip down and back (first road trip!) and a great time at the lake.

Fun with Daddy

Lil' fryebaby and big frye-daddy enjoyed some quality daddy-son time this past week, as I spent my first night away on business travel.  And, since my mom was able to plan a visit while I was away, the trip was a success and everyone did great at home.

In other news, check out the new play room on our middle level!  We relocated our bar cabinet and pub table and set-up a play area in it's place.  Thanks to furnishings from my favorite store, Land of Nod, we have a zone for all the fryes to enjoy...

It's still a bit of a work in progress as we wait for a cool bookshelf and a couple floor poufs to arrive.  Besides the super colorful rug, my fave piece is the play table.  It's height adjustable and can grow from it's current 15" height up to 24" height as fryebaby gets older.  And even though it's still too tall for fryebaby now, Billy and I are already putting it to good use...

...enjoying Sunday morning breakfast on the floor.  You can imagine, this is a brave new world for Skylar...babies, toys, and food all at her level :)  Lucky for us, she's doing great and learning to love her new little brother.

New Stuff

It's only Tuesday, and yet every minute I've spent with fryebaby this week has been full of new and fun developments.  Monday morning, when I dropped him off at daycare, I put him in this fun exersaucer and he immediately went to town, bouncing up and down like a crazy man and inspecting all the fun gadgets.  It was so much fun to watch him...

Monday night, while feeding him his rice cereal, we captured on film his new obsession with his thumb.  Between every bite, he wanted to suck his thumb.  It was pretty hilarious...

Tuesday at daycare, he got to meet the Easter Bunny (or bunnies, in this case) for the first time.  Mr. & Mrs. Bunny visited the kids and everyone got their photo taken.  Too bad I didn't know they were coming, or I would have dressed him up a little.  Either way, in typical fryebaby fashion, he was as cool as a cucumber and did great with his new oversized furry friends...

And, finally, Tuesday morning he discovered his feet for the first time.  He was laying on our bed and just started grabbing his feet.  He couldn't get enough of them.  I've been waiting for this moment, and was so glad I had my phone handy so I could snap these pics...

I wonder what else he has in store for us this week...

Well Dressed

I'm obsessed with this little guy's wardrobe.  I love organizing his closet and constantly rotating through his outfits.  I love coming up with new combinations.  My favorite color to dress him in is blue, thanks to those goregeous blue eyes he's still rocking.

Special thanks to all the grandparents and great grandparents who've helped him have a fab wardrobe.  We love all the clothes we've received!  Now we just have to figure out how he can wear an outfit more than once before he grows out of it :)

Frye boys

We had a great visit with fryebaby's grandparents, Peggy & Foye, this weekend.  Check out this pic of three generations of Frye boys...

Opening Day

Monday was Opening Day for Major League Baseball, and we made sure fryebaby showed his team spirit at daycare that day.  Check out one of the Red Sox's cutest fans :)

Pedroia, the Destroya!!  Folks at work laughed when they saw this pic, saying fryebaby is almost as big as lil' Dustin Pedroia :)

We also finally pulled the Red Sox baseball cap off his wall in the nursery and let him try it out...

First babysitter

We had a date night this past weekend, and employed lil' fryebaby's first babysitter.  She tells us he was a sleepyhead most of the time, and then they snuggled when he finally woke up.  She said she's "in love"...we're so lucky.  Can't wait to get her back over soon for more snuggle time!

We celebrated four months this past Thursday by visiting the pediatrician and finding out fryebaby is no longer able to be called "lil"...weighing in at 18 pounds and measuring 26-1/2 inches long, he's in the 95th percentile for boys his age.  He's wearing 9 months clothes now, and is able to start trying solids, thanks to his beefy stature.  Bring on the rice cereal!

The four month appointment also brought with it more immunizations...which have resulted in some sleepless nights in the Frye household.  Hope all our followers are catching a couple extra winks of sleep in our honor :)

I can't believe he's doubled his weight and grown over an inch a month since being born!!  Crazy...

Duallie Stroller?

We thought we had a single stroller just for lil' fryebaby, but turns out Skylar's proved us wrong.  This is a duallie!

In an effort to enjoy this beautiful weather today, we took "the kids" for a walk.  When Skylar got tired, we put her in the front of the Bob and she stayed on for the rest of our walk!  So funny!

Picture Day!

It was picture day at daycare on Tuesday.  I didn't think lil' fryebaby would be old enough to get to participate, but turns out he was!  Check out the proofs.  He looks so mature...and in the last photo, I swear he's on the high school football team!  LOL!

Special shout out to Aunt Sandy in Auburn for giving Brody this adorable train outfit :). It was the closest thing we had to "Sunday Best" :)

Mommy Time

This past weekend's visit to Florida definitely provided some good mommy bonding time with lil' fryebaby, which I appreciated.  It was so fun to take him everywhere I went, and proudly smile as people would stop to look at him or smile.  One person told me "babies are universal", and I couldn't agree more.  Everybody loves a baby...especially one that flirts and smiles as much as this little dude.  Here are a few pics capturing our special time together.
